SAND STORMERS ANNOUNCE SIGNING OF TOP PROSPECT BOB SAGET

LIBERTY, Mo. (Dec. 9, 2020)– The Sand Stormers are proud to introduce incoming freshman quarterback Bob Saget, who joined the team during the national signing period Wednesday afternoon.

“We can’t wait to get Bob in here to really see what he can do, but we have loved what we have seen out of his film so far,” said Hulk Hogan, head coach of the Sand Stormers. “The kid has a rocket arm, great feet, and he will serve as a great replacement to Matt Ryan.”

Saget’s signing was broadcast on ESPN, where he took off his sweatshirt revealing the Sand Stormers logo shaved into his chest hair. In the state of Missouri, he is one of the most highly recruited prospects in the last 25 years. Saget had over 3000 passing yards and a 121 QBR in his time at George Jetson High School. He was an academic All-State award winner as a senior with a 2.85 GPA. He had offers from over 30 Division I programs, including rivals Liberty A&M and Missouri Culinary Tech.

“I cannot wait to play a game at Sanders Field,” said Saget, “I grew up coming to games here and I am over the moon to finally call myself a Sand Stormer.”

The Sand Stormers have had a long history of playing disciplined, well-coached football. Since 1904, student-athletes have been offered a top tier education and the opportunity to play college football in a great conference. During their time in Liberty, they have won 24 national titles and 56 bowl games.
